Okay, correct me if I'm wrong...

12 Gauge double barrel, red dot or holo sight, and flashlight. For real?

It's got some "WOW" factor, but I like the Mossberg home defense shotguns better. The double barrel doesn't have the "ChaChunk" you get when you chamber a round like a slide action shot gun.

And you'd think the massive recoil of a 12 gauge, or even a 20 gauge would have on that sight.

But the Stoeger is interesting, I'll grant you that.

Huh

RE: Stoeger Tactical coach gun
Stoeger's have been around a long time and are German(as if the name didn't help). They a well built gun. BUT. Just having the ability of only 2 immediate shots, just doesn't do it for home defense, and this is what THIS gun was built for and just trying to get into the home defense game, BUT it falls short with what you get. Stoeger's are great field guns. I'd pass on this one and either go for a Mossberg or Remington 870 or 1100. You'll pay a little more for them, but they have better backing in parts availability. What's really nice about the Mossberg models(500,535,590 and others) is you can defend the home one moment and go deer/turkey hunting in 15 minutes with just a change of the barrel. Also Mossberg has cheaper guns in the Maverick Arms guns too, because of synthetic stocks.

RE: Stoeger Tactical coach gun
I've been thinkin about a cool old side by side scatter gun for a while just for the collecting, something like an old Stevens 16 or 20 ga. Any Stevens s by s I find seems to go for way more money than this. I spotted this and thought it would also be kinda functional and I like the tactical kinda crap...

After watching this short clip:

I was thinking about it...
Since I have other shotguns, this could be cool to collect and with a side saddle... well, I don't know

RE: Stoeger Tactical coach gun
OK, I see your point of having a little SxS for something that MIGHT come along. It actually wouldn't be bad for the back forty while out chopping wood or something while on your ATV and ya see a turkey/deer close by, and you just happen to have a couple slugs loaded up. I would change out that cheap reddot sight and put on either a shotgun scope or just use open sights(but that's just me). I did notice that it's a single trigger---most certainly dual stage. After thinking about it--it would be the type of gun I wouldn't mind having while sittin on the back deck of my home waiting for those pesky possums. I'm gonna have to check this one out, I would like to have a little double in 410, and the price certainly is good.

Yeah! Me likey. Looks much more authorative without the reddot sight. I also like the shell holder. Now ya need a lazer w/pressure switch to really get the drop on those shadow ghosts. I'm starting to like this scatter gun idea.
