Bushnell DOA scope
Up in Kansas City getting a antivirus software for my computer yesterday and noticed a Bushnell factory outlet nearby----cool beans, so I stop in to see what they had. Many cheaper scopes(wouldn't put these on a 22 much less than a centerfire), but one particular scope I hadn't seen before was a 3-9x40 Bushnell "Trophy DOA 600" scope for around $100 that they said was an excellent $200 scope and holds well under recoil. They said it was for centerfire rifles, and it had graduating lines under the centering crosshairs, that would let you take game out to 600 yards(also had one DOA 250 for muzzleloaders that have different trajectories and bullet weights). Lens looked very good for this scope and it had some weight to show it made well for this make of scope. Although weight doesn't neccessarily make for a great scope, it does help give indication as to how possibly well the scope is built for recoils, and not just rely on lens or tracking features. Anybody have any opinions about it and if you do, how's it holding up to that caliber?
Also opinions about Bushnell "Legends" if you have any, and how well holding up to that caliber you have? They said it will be a discontinued scope, but prices were good also at around $100.
Of course they have some great Elite 3200(around $145 and up), 4200(around $200 and up) and 6500(around $400 and up) scopes that I may purchase in future. Also some of these scopes are new and some are refurbished, so pricing will indicate it in store. I think I found a new hangout. LOL

RE: Bushnell DOA scope
Ya got me on that one. I like well made priced-cheap scopes, BUT, I don't like a overpriced, cheap-made scope. I would take my cheap, late 60's, Jason scope and compare it to the cheapest Nikon/Leupold anyday for reliability and clarity. I still have it mounted to my '71 Ruger 10/22 that I purchased new.
