Somebody has to start
Whats your favorite handgun? I myself love the 1911, and the Colt single action. Those are the top two, but I also love my Springfield XD. So many choices, so little time. My wife really likes her Glock, but she also likes her Taurus 357 wheelgun. So whats your favorite?Sniper

Man, there's so many nice ones out there. I guess my favorites is Dan Wesson, Colt, and High Standard(New Haven--not Texas).
My Dad used to own a complete set(something like 6 or 8) of Smith&Wesson "Combat Masterpieces" in I believe model 44 of all the calibers they made back in the early 70's.

So true Del, there are a bunch of guns I'd love to have. I was looking for your favorite one of all time. Be it a manufacturerer, or type, such as auto, or wheelgun. By the way, its 2am, you a nite owl?

I have to say it's my little High Standard "Sport King" 22lr with lazer. Can't tell ya how many possums/squirrels that thing has gotten. It's my go-to gun if I need to dispatch anything within 25yds around my farm.

RE: Somebody has to start
We own a couple of pistols and my favorite of those would have to be the wifes Glock 17, it's the one that I shoot the best/ fits me the best.

My all time favorite, would have to be an old Civil war replica, .44 cal black powder pistol that I owned for most of the 90s. That thing was awesomely accurate and it left big holes in whatever you shot at. The big smoke cloud and big KaBoom just added to the cool-ness. I also liked the complicatedness of all that cap-n-ball stuff too... I've got an eye out for a good deal on another one of those.

I fired my friends 1911 Colt a few times and I liked how accurate it was= there might be one of those in my future also.

RE: Somebody has to start
Well, now that I am a new handgun owner, I'd have to say my favorite is my Ruger GP-100 .357. I love the heft of it, the simplicity and classic lines of the revolver, and it feels like it could stop anything. Untul I get something bigger, this one will see a lot of use!
