Winchester
I'm new to this site so I'm not sure if this has been asked before. I have a 22 Winchester rifle, single shot bolt action, model 04 I would like to know if anyone out there knows the age of this rifle. On the barrel it states, 22 short, long or extra long. I know they changed the extra long to long rifle in 1927. Any help would be very helpful. Thank you, tjboots

RE: Winchester
First off, welcome to the forum, and I am sorry I didn't see your first post sooner. Hopefully I will make up for it right now.

Found this on the Net. Is this your rifle?

They were produced from 1904 to 1931, and 305,984 were made. Early barrels were marked MOD. 1904.

Hope this helps.

Ken

RE: Winchester
That's a neat looking rifle. Having such a short Forearm, makes it look unbalanced, but I'm sure it's not.
Is your Rifle still shootable?
