Rossi 22LR / .410 Youth Combo
This was the first gun we got our son and it has seen a lot of use, up until we got his Marlin Model 15Y. It was black synthetic, but he wanted it camo'd so I painted it with Krylon Fusion Camo paint.

It is a good gun, the main reason we keep it though is because it has the .410 shotgun barrel that allows my son to shoot shot. The gun itself is rather light so I filled the stock with sand to absorb some recoil. Whenever I take it to the range with my son I try to get him to shoot at least five rounds with the .410 to help him overcome his fear of the "kick". To make it more fun I hang some clay pigeons on the target and he loves blowing them up. I tell him that he has to "kill" five of them and he can go back to his Marlin 22.

Here are some pictures...

Comes with this neet little case...

That Rossi would make a dandy, close range turkey gun if you can get 410 slugs for it. Does this come as a 2 barrel package w/case from Walmart?

I don't remember seeing it at WalMart. We got this at a local sporting goods store. I think it was $129 new, but on sale for $109.

We are considering something just like this for my 12 y/o son. After seeing your pictures, we were lookin around the gun show for it= didn't see one.
We did see plenty of other considerations, like several Henry .22 single shots and Henry lever actions, a couple of 410/ .22 over unders and such. We might just end up gettin him another Walmart Marlin, I know I like those.

I like the idea of how you can swich out the barrels on your Rossi, we have two other guns chambered in 410 and 3 others in .22. I will keep an eye out for one of these for myself. 18
