Browning Citori
I have a Browning Citori Walnut in color over/under 12 gauge shotgun but how do I determine or find on it the type it is or the year made.
The inlay is not silver its black and has written on the barrel Special Steel 12 GA 2 3/4 and 3-23 I think it says.

RE: Browning Citori
Welcome JustLearning. I would call Browning and ask them about your Citori. They should have records of number built in different years.

Sometimes this will cost, but getting the info could be priceless if you have a special model that no Dealer/Book talks about and with this info from Company could make for a better resale if needed.

As to the special steel barrel, I can't answer that with certainty.

It may be a harder steel barrel or special lining, that allows one to now shoot steel shot, that many shotguns that are just a few years older, aren't able to shoot(limited steel usage), as steel shot will chew up a barrel over time.
