Winchester Model 1873
I am trying to get an idea of what the value might be of my fiance's Winchester Model 1873. It was manufactured in 1881, has Model 1873 stamped on upper tang, and on the lower tang is the serial number, 76654. It is a .44 caliber with a 24" octagon barrel. Functions and fires well. Has some rust and minor scoring on the stock. Spent 40 years in my fiance's grandmother's gunsafe and was used for hunting before that by her father. Still waiting to hear from Cody Firearms Museum on whether this gun was blued or case hardened.

Sounds very nice. We love pics here and by looking at finish can probably tell with a close/clear picture whether Blued or Case Hardened.
