What do I have here?

Got a pistol from my Dad, new and in the box. Fitted case, the cardboard sleeve is still on it. Manual, un-filled out warranty card are in with it. COP SS-1, stainless steel, .38/.357 mag., 4 shot, opens owl head style. The box says Compact off-duty police, and made in California. Any ideas on worth.

Pictures would certainly help understand what it is you have. What is the brand name of the gun? This is a 4-shot revolver?

The name COP, made in Terrence, California. My camera is loaned out, but it is a derringer and the size of a PPK but a barrel heavy gun.

Ken, YOU ARE THE MAN! That is the whole package I have. My Dad is 85 and senile, my Mom asked me to get it out of their house and sell it. I also have his M1903 Rifle marked U.S. Rock Island Armory. Under the front sight are stamped H and below that 10 44. A guy told me it could be worth 6-800 dollars, could that be true? OH

He also has a M1903 Rifle marked U.S. Rock Island Armory. Under the front sight is stamped H and just below that 10 44. Aguy told me its worth between 600 and 800 dollars, could that be true?
